Contest Eligibility (Under Construction)

Due February 1, 2010

SkillsUSA Membership is required in order to participate in the state conference. This is accomplished on the SkillsUSA National website (http://www.skillsusa-register.org/Login.aspx) and is due February 1, 2010. Dues were increased by the Board of Directors at a meeting on September 10, 2008. State dues per student/advisor beginning in the school year 2009-2010 are increased $2.00 to $6.50. This figure must be added to National dues.

February 10, 2010

The deadline for on-line registration is February 10, 2010. Conference Registration is done on the SkillsUSA National website (http://www.skillsusa-register.org). In addition to on-line registration, the State Conference Registration Form is also due on Febuary 10, 2010 (see Required Registration Forms below). The registration fee of $60 includes a t-shirt, pin, lunch on Friday, conference program and a portion of conference costs.

The same deadline is used if a student decides not to attend the conference; if informed by February 17, 2010, they will be entitled to a 1/2 refund ($27.50). Any contest adds or drops, or notification of students not attending must be communicated to the staff at the state office by February 17, 2010 (do not "snail mail" this form or leave a message on the phone - please use e-mail only to karen.calvin@nebraska.gov).

Medical Release Form (for Nebraska Conferences) (download DOC)

To fulfill the Medical Release Form requirement, this year you are required to use the SkillsUSA Nebraska Medical Release Form provided on this website: 1) print the Medical Release Form (click on the link on the left), have the student complete and the appropriate signatures affixed. The advantage of using this Medical Release Form form is that it is modeled after the national release form & you can use the form later to key in the same information to the national website if you have students attending nationals. This form needs to be in the possession of the advisor at all times during Nebraska conferences: Fall, Mid-America and/or State conference(s).
